Heritage Savage, a Girls U14 Division III team, was just established this year. Savage was trained by Julia Schnugg and coached by Steve Smith and Paul Fernbach. Heritage Savage traveled to four tournaments this year and brought home the championship from the Dublin Pot O Gold tournament. Savage took second place in the Fort Bragg Spookfest and third in the Pleasanton Fall Warm Up tournaments. Heritage Savage finished second in league play with 7 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie. They narrowly missed first place by one point. Heritage Savage defeated every team in league and their goal differential was +13. Their overall record to date is 17 wins, 7 losses and 1 tie with 14 shutout games. Heritage Savage has two Freshmen from College Park on the team. |
Heritage U14G Savage Take Home The Gold!
This past weekend the HSC Div. III Savage coached by Steve Smith and Paul Fernbach, and trained by Julia Schnugg, entered their first tournament as a newly formed team wondering what they had. After going 3-0 in bracket play with 3 shutouts and a nailbiting shootout win in the final game against a very strong Santa Clara team, they had a Championship trophy and medals. Savage went 4-0 on the weekend scoring 9 goals and allowing just 1. What a great debut for a great bunch of young ladies. Congratulations Savage! |
