HAMMERS WIN NORCAL PREMIER SPRING LEAGUE
The Under 11 Class One Boys team, the Heritage Hammers won the newly formed Norcal Premier Spring League Bronze Division for Under 11,s.on goal differnce .While technically still Under 10's prior to the start of the new season, the Hammers played 'up' with other Under 10 teams over a period of the last six weeks playing ten games ( mainly in Sacramento) in double headers. The boys completed the season with Eight victories , one tie and only one loss (in their last game).
The boys played some of Northern California top clubs and gained notable victories over Lamorinda, Juventus Hayward, Santa Rosa, and Sonoma County Alliance to name a few. Hammers scored Forty Five (45) goals while the defense conceded only Seven ( 7) . The most pleasurable outcome of the offensive output for the coaching staff was that the scoring was shared around with Adam Gartside, Antonio Ochea, Jerry Cruz, Bo Hunter and Jose Medina all scoring more than Five goals each. The defense was well marshalled by Michael Cassatico from his sweeper position and strong defensive performances throughout the short season came from Nate Ransom and Hunter Morrisey.
As a first year team, winning the league gives a high level of confidence for the boys as they enter the Tournament part of their schedule. CONGRATULATIONS HAMMERS.

STAMPEDE WIN WASHOE-ZEPHYR TOURNAMENT
Heritage won its second weekend tournament of our young season, when our Under 12 Class One Boys team won the Washoe Zephyr Tournament in Reno. After opening the season by playing in the US Soccer spring league Stampede had their first tournament of the year in Reno. Due to this tournament falling at the end of the calendar year for last season, Stampede's first opponent was a very physical Reno United team who will be Under 13 next year . However despite some very physical play ,Stampede took their scoring opportunities well and recorded a deserving 2-1 victory.
They followed this with another well deserved victory in the afternoon over the Tahoe Ice , a nemesis to past Pleasant Hill Select teams. The boys played some quality soccer and should have scored on numerous occasions but in the end a Hat Trick by Billy Kessler and another by Brian Ysunza gave the boys a 4-1 victory.
Early Sunday morning Stampede made short work of the Elk Grove Hurricanes with a convincing 7-2 victory. In addition to Billy and Brian who scored again Todd Burgos, Basil Aquillin, Zac Walton and Ben Jamison- Lambourne all added goals.
With three victories, Stampede were in the final against the Reno Aces ( another Under 13 side) who had yet to let in a goal. The final was a very physical affair with Reno taking the lead early and then expanding their lead to enter half-time with a 2-0 advantage. Stampede to their credit never stopped trying to play soccer and were rewarded with a penalty ,well taken and scored by Billy Kessler, and then the equalizer scored by Todd Burgos. Both teams had their chances to win but full time and the Golden Goal period came with no further goals meaning that the final was to be decided by penalties. Zac Walton, Todd Burgos, Kenny Utler and Billy Kessler all scored and when a second Reno player missed Stampede were the champions by a 4-3 margin
Despite playing older kids the boys played very well and thoroughly deserved to win the Tournament. Congratulations to The Stampede for their first Tournament win of the season.
