Heritage Boys U15
Division 1 team “The Hammers” take 3rd place
in Tracy Summer Classic
The
Heritage U15 Boys soccer team “The Hammers” took 3rd
place in a tournament in Tracy California on August
16-17. The Hammers are a Division 1 team of the
Heritage Soccer Club in Pleasant Hill/Martinez.
The
Heritage Hammers tied their first game against FC
Fremont. The score was 1-1. The goal was scored by
Jordon Cisneros, assisted by Jesse Reyes. The Hammers
won their second game against South Valley United (a
team from Visalia) with a 3-2 score. The goals were
scored by Jordon Cisneros, Bo Hunter and Santiago
Alejandro. Jordon Cisneros assisted Bo Hunter’s goal.
The Hammers also won their third game against FC Bullard
with a score of 3-1. Jesse Cook, Mario Salinas and
Hector Morfin scored the three goals. Santiago
Alejandro assisted both Jesse Cook’s and Mario Salinas’
goals. With the points accumulated from the first three
games, the Hammers were one of three teams vying for the
championship spot in this tournament. The final
placement would be determined by the last game played.
The Hammers met Placer United in their last game.
Placer was also in the top three teams. The game was
hard fought. The score at the half time was 0-0. In
the last few minutes of the game, Placer managed to
score and won the game with the single goal. Goalkeeper
Ethan Lipson-Gokcen made 19 saves during the 4 games.
Final tournament results: Heritage Hammers placed 3rd
in the tournament, Placer placed 2nd and
South Valley United placed 1st. Both Placer
United and South Valley United are highly ranked teams
in Northern California. Placer is ranked 10th
and South Valley is ranked 17th. The
Heritage Hammers are a newly formed team this year.
